Taber works at the pace of listening.
Not as a documentarian in pursuit of moments, but as a presence – a place that waits for them to arrive. Drawn to the spaces where people exhale rather than perform, Taber’s portraits are shaped by patience, silence, and trust. The work resists all spectacle in favor of honesty—faces as they are, light as it falls, time allowed to do its quiet work. Taber is not interested in who someone appears to be, and more attentive to what remains when absolutely nothing is asked of them.
No large production, no wardrobe or makeup artists, no expectations, no money, and no demands. It’s simply done for the experience of meeting very special people who want to create something together; Something simple, beautiful, and everlasting.
